Dr. Joseph Hacker attended Muhlenberg College for his undergraduate studies and Hahnemann Medical College for his medical education. He completed his Residency and Fellowship at Naval Hospital in Bethesda, Md. He has been very active as a leader of Delaware physicians through his service with the Medical Society of Delaware as President in 2004 and now as the Chair of Legislation. His clinical interests include gastroesophageal reflux disease, peptic ulcer disease, colon cancer screening, pancreatic disease and inflammatory bowel disease. Dr. Hacker is a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners, the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine: Gastroenterology. He is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology.
